Five Octaves

A Tribute To Yma Sumac

by John Robert Beck

This art was created 2009. Five Octaves is a portrait of the noted Peruvian singer Yma Sumac.

ARTIST NOTE: I had the privilege of meeting Yma Sumac several times. I have seen her perform in both New York and Chicago. This art was created shortly after Yma Sumac’s passing. Her amazing 5 octave voice lives on. – J.B.
