Lost Treasure
Bruce Goff’s Bavinger House · Norman, Oklahoma
by John Robert Beck
This art was created 2013. This is the home that Bruce Goff designed for the Bavinger family. It was first conceived in 1950 and completed in 1955. The reason for the title “Lost Treasure” is that this amazing piece of architecture was lost in 2011. The exact cause for the world loosing this treasure is probably because of storms that hit Oklahoma during the summer of 2011.
ARTIST NOTE: I was lucky enough to visit the house a few years before it was destroyed. – J.B.
