ARTIST NOTE: My wife and I were “Cat Sitting” for my brother on the July 4th weekend. He and his partner have a fabulous condo in Chicago. It is on the lakefront, and looks out over most of the city. From the 39th floor, we got to enjoy all the fireworks of 20 or 30 of the suburbs surrounding the city. Once you get over the fact that you are actually looking down at the fireworks … you can really enjoy the extravaganza. This art is based on our wonderful night watching all those great fireworks. – J.B.
